History has always been a personal favorite when it came to subjects in school. Robert Clark assigned an assessment in essay form. I was nervous going into it, so I received after school help from Rob and my mom. Because of this I received an A, because I put extra hours in I received a better grade.
English has never been an essay subject for me, knowing that I was not looking forward to English 3/4 with Molly Fenn. It's safe to say, I am so thankful for the way she has pushed me. Within the first two months we were assigned a Personal Narrative Essay, and I knew I wanted to impress her while being myself. So that's what I did and I received an A
My Junior year was completely online and yet Patricia Williamson (bio facilitator) found a way to do science fair. I had collected the materials I needed from the store and Patrica herself gave me a gadget that would help me specifically. I went to office hours for help multiple times, I would also conduct my experiments at night to get a better visual. I was really happy with the end result because I had actually put the time in and got the results on my own.
My first essay at ACLC was assigned by Lynn Kamney, in 9th grade. It was a partner interview/presentation, I was so nervous because I wasn't sure how Lynn graded and it was infant of the whole class. Once my partner gave me their information, I was able to connect the dots and write an essay on them. Looking back, I wouldn't have done a thing different because I received an A. Lynn was my first English facilitator here at ACLC, and she shaped me into the writer I am today.
